Onceyouhaveinstalledthecor nerandintermediateattachments,itistimeto runyour
strainingwire.Str ainingwire(orCable)isavailableineithergalvanizedorstainlesssteel.
Stainlesscable(andhardware)isprimarilyusedinareasthatareneartheocean.Most
inst allationswilltakegalvanizedwireandhardware.
Ferrulesareusedatthefirstcornerattachmentandthenlaterattheturnbuckle.
A. Runtwocopperferrulesthroughtheendofthecable.
B. Loopthecablethroughthefirstcornerattachmentandbackthroughtheferrules.
C. Secure/crimpthe ferrulestolockcableintoplacewitharatchetcrimper.Thiswillcreate
astrongloop.
D. Runcablethroughallintermediateattachmentsandfinallythroughtheturnbuck leatthe
endofthecablerun.
E. RepeatStep#C(i. e.loopandcrimpcablethroughturnbuckle.)SeeSectionIIIfor
correctmethodoninstallingtur nbuckle s.
III. Turnbuckles
Turnbucklesareavailableingalvanizedorstainlesssteel(mediumorlarge).Turnbuckles
must bewellanchoredsincetheyareexertingagreatdealoftensiononthecable/straining
wire.
A. Mediumturnbucklesaredesignedforcablesupto75feet.
B. Largeturnbucklesaredesignedfor cables75feetandabove.
C. Insta llation:
1. Makesuretoopentheturnbucklealltheway.
2. Pull thecablesastightaspossiblethroughtheturnbucklebeforetheloopis
finallycrimped.Takeupasmuchtensionaspossiblebefo recrimping!!!
3. Tightenturnbuckleusingascrewdr iver,etc.
4. Becarefulnottopulloutyourfasteners/eyehookswhentighteningthecablevia
theturnbuckle.
IV. HogRings
Nettingisattachedtothestrainingwire/cablewithhogrings(usingaHogRingTool).
Similartoastapler, theHogRingToolholdsacartridgeofapprox.50hogrings.
A. HogRingoneloopper squarefor2”net.¾”netmaysufficewit heverysquare,
dependingont heinstallationandpestbirdproblem.
